Frontend Developer – UniFi Connect

About the role

As part of the UniFi Connect team at Ubiquiti, you will work in a fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environment building the next generation of connectivity solutions. You will create modular, reusable front‑end components and shape user experiences for device management platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modular, reusable React components for rich, responsive user interfaces.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to enhance UI/UX, propose improvements, and define new user flows.
• Write and maintain comprehensive test cases to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Act as a communication bridge between UI/UX designers, backend developers, and end users to align functionality with design intent.
• Contribute to frontend architectural decisions and participate in design/code reviews.
• Develop interactive visual‑driven interfaces such as drag‑and‑drop layouts, WYSIWYG editors, and topology‑style device maps.
• Implement advanced UI interactions including element snapping, dynamic resizing, collision detection, and visual feedback for smooth D&D workflows.
• Build scalable front‑end visualization components for displaying device relationships, floorplans, and system topologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES2015+) and TypeScript.
• Extensive hands‑on experience developing with React.
• Strong understanding of programming principles, design patterns, and modern web protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively.
