Finance Manager, Engineering - Taiwan Design Center

About the role

The Tools & Outdoor division of SBD, which drives $13B of its $16B business, is looking for a Finance Manager, Taiwan Engineering to join the Global Engineering and Technology Finance team. The role provides financial leadership and decision support to the Engineering organization and reports to the Finance Director, Asia Engineering, and the Taiwan Design Center Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate the financial potential of new programs (NPD, productivity, GSC initiatives) using financial models to analyze payback and returns, and drive prioritization based on investment and resource use.
• Analyze and deliver insights for the HTAS Taiwan Design Center so projects are delivered on time, on quality and on budget.
• Manage deliverables for the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly business reviews, 3-year strategic plan and executive meetings.
• Act as finance liaison between the Taiwan Design Center, Tools & Outdoor FP&A, Brand Finance and GSC Finance.
• Partner with the Brand Team and Design Center Leader on ad-hoc requests and special projects.
• Develop new financial processes to improve transparency around Engineering ROI and improve the efficiency of the finance function.
• Provide feedback during project planning to ensure accurate, complete business cases and financially viable projects.
• Give project-level insights to SG&A (development costs) on resourcing and indirect spend, and to CAPEX (NPD tooling, R&D) on investments.

Required profile

• 4-7 years of relevant financial experience and a bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• High business acumen and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize across multiple deliverables, manage initiatives and develop new financial processes.
• Executive communication and presentation skills, and ability to work cross-functionally.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ERPs and financial reporting systems (BA&R, HFM).
• Power BI.
