Engineering Technician – Production Equipment

About the role

The Engineering Technician supports, sustains, and improves production equipment performance in Micron’s fab environment. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, reliability improvement, and systematic problem solving during day‑shift operations while adhering to clean‑room protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Support, repair, upgrade, and sustain production equipment during normal day‑shift operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and change‑over activities to ensure equipment stability and readiness.
• Drive equipment reliability and quality improvements in collaboration with engineers and supervisors.
• Analyze machine failure mechanisms and recurrence trends using structured problem‑solving methodologies.
• Reduce equipment downtime through preventive actions, permanent fixes, and improvement projects.
• Monitor and improve repair cycle time (MTTR) via continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in empowerment and autonomous‑maintenance activities to enhance equipment ownership.
• Support documentation, standardization, and knowledge sharing for best practices.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher in Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Willingness to work in a fab environment and wear clean‑room attire.
• Basic English reading and writing skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work rotating 3‑4‑month shift schedules (day/night).
