About the role
Air Products is expanding its Electronics industrial gases business and seeks an experienced Subject Matter Expert to lead Emergency Planning, Preparedness and Response (EP&R) for Electronics Specialty Gases (ESGs). The role provides technical leadership across the Asia region and supports other regions as needed, ensuring safe handling, rapid response and effective training for hazardous gas incidents.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority on emergency planning, preparedness and response for hazardous gases and ESGs.
- Provide guidance on gas behavior, release scenarios, hazard zones, PPE selection, monitoring strategies, isolation techniques and disposal methods.
- Evaluate new products, mixtures and supply modes for emergency implications before startup.
- Advise EHS, operations, product safety and emergency response teams during incident reviews, drills and post‑incident learning.
- Design, deploy and continuously improve ESG‑specific emergency response training curricula aligned with real‑world configurations and risk profiles.
- Develop scenario‑based training modules for cylinders, tube trailers, bulk supply and Bulk Specialty Gas System interfaces.
- Deliver training through classroom, virtual and on‑site formats for operators, technicians, response teams and leadership.
- Plan and support tabletop exercises, functional drills and field simulations, coordinating with mutual‑aid partners and public responders.
Required profile
- Proven experience as an emergency response subject matter expert for hazardous gases, preferably within the electronics or industrial gases sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of gas behavior, release dynamics and safety controls.
- Ability to design and deliver effective safety training programs for diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication skills to advise cross‑functional teams and external partners.
- Willingness to travel within the Asia region and support other regions as required.
