Planner – Production & Materials Planning

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Planner to support production and material flow for semiconductor and advanced display equipment. The role ensures accurate scheduling, MRP integrity, and coordination across engineering, sourcing, and marketing teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze slotting reports, run metrics, and identify process inconsistencies.
• Coordinate with marketing to set up opportunities and sales orders correctly in SAP.
• Manage schedule transitions between pilot and volume manufacturing and liaise with other business groups.
• Work with Engineering and Sourcing to detect issues early and ensure smooth production.
• Maintain MRP integrity, initiate demand, monitor accuracy, and resolve data integrity issues.
• Handle material forecasts (PIRs), manage over‑planned material, and support global NSR content.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in planning activities such as production control, inventory control, or MRP integrity.
• Demonstrated conceptual knowledge in the discipline and ability to broaden capabilities.
• Understanding of key business drivers to accomplish tasks effectively.
• Ability to solve straightforward problems using technical experience and judgment.
• Effective communication of complex information to team members.
