EHS Manager – Site Safety & Environmental Compliance

About the role

The EHS Manager will ensure the Kuanyin site operates in line with Huntsman's environmental, health, safety and process safety management standards, as well as local regulations. The role involves leading the EHS team, developing site‑specific strategies, and fostering a Zero Harm culture across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure Kuanyin site compliance with Huntsman EHS & PSM standards, procedures, guidelines and local laws.
• Identify site‑specific EHS & PSM needs and develop strategies to meet corporate and legal requirements.
• Support all departments in understanding and implementing EHS & PSM requirements.
• Organize and conduct EHS & PSM training and competency tests for all employees.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to review and improve process safety management and efficiency.
• Build and maintain an emergency response team, alarm system and related training.
• Maintain the ISO 14001 system and provide advisory support for the organization.
• Lead the Kuanyin EHS team and promote an active Zero Harm culture.
• Ensure all Huntsman Taiwan activities, including production, warehouse, office and travel, meet company and local EHS standards.
• Prepare and control the EHS function budget.
• Develop relationships with local authorities, governments, communities and neighboring entities.
• Provide direct EHS management and training to Korea sales offices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in environmental, health, safety and process safety management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Taiwanese EHS laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop an EHS team.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with authorities, communities and internal stakeholders.
• Experience in budgeting and financial control for EHS functions.
