EHS Engineer (Compliance)

About the role

KLA's Global Workplace Services (GWS) team builds workplace environments that support teamwork, innovation and productivity, covering site improvements, a secure work environment, regulatory compliance, safety protocols, emergency preparedness and risk mitigation. As an EHS Engineer (Compliance) in Hsinchu, you will help advance business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Monthly review of local EHS regulations and gap analysis, tracking mitigation actions and coordinating with departments so KLA activities comply with local laws.
• Quarterly coordination of the Occupational Safety and Health Committee: preparing materials, arranging logistics, taking minutes and tracking follow-ups.
• Manage EHS licenses and certifications, and organize and deliver mandatory training programs.
• Establish and maintain the OSH Management System under CNS 45001/ISO 45001 and promote OSH initiatives.
• Run chemical management: periodic inventory reporting, SDS lists, hazardous substances inventory, and the Hazard Communication Program.
• Develop and implement EHS procedures and oversee EHS management for GWS facilities and ECI laboratories.
• Coordinate fire safety programs (risk assessments, drills, equipment inspections).
• Manage waste removal, consolidate office recyclable waste volumes and report to the corporate system.
• Set up reporting procedures, investigate incidents and track follow-up, and support BU SAQ tracking.
• Support other duties, assist with administrative matters and coordinate weekly meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing and operating ISO 45001 systems.
• Class A Occupational Safety Management Personnel or Class A Occupational Health Management Personnel certification.
• Strong English presentation, writing and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Data consolidation and analytical skills, including report preparation.
