Customer Service Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is looking for Customer Service Engineers to join its service team supporting TSMC JASM in Japan. This is described as a rare international career opportunity, open to fresh graduates or people with hands-on experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance, field service and technical troubleshooting. Japanese communication skills are welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex semiconductor equipment and perform preventive maintenance, repairs and part replacements
• Resolve equipment issues using KLA tool knowledge and procedures, understanding the interaction between mechanical, electrical and software systems
• Work with regional and global teams such as Applications, Installation and Technical Support Engineers
• Provide customer support and help customers maintain stable operations
• Prepare service reports, document equipment status and analyse system logs and performance data
• Take part in internal and customer training, travel to customer sites and manage RMA processes
• Follow safety protocols and comply with company and customer standards

Required profile

• Fresh graduates or candidates with hands-on experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance, field service and technical troubleshooting
• English communication skills for technical discussions with global teams
• Comfort in a global, fast-paced environment and familiarity with foundry customer service operations is a plus
• Minimum qualification: Master's degree with 0 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience
