About the role
Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide systems support for sustainability (SCoE) products and engineering equipment in Taiwan. The role involves working closely with customers, factories, and vendors to ensure reliable operation of semiconductor tools.
Key responsibilities
- Provide on‑site and remote support for engineering systems in reliability labs and beta sites.
- Act as the technical liaison between customers and the factory, delivering documentation and troubleshooting assistance.
- Collect and present system performance metrics such as uptime, MTBF, MTBI, and availability.
- Support the generation of documentation including CENs and BKMs, and present technical improvements at the engineering level.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Preferably 2 years of equipment experience with Applied Materials or similar tools.
- Willingness to travel domestically (25‑30%) and internationally (10%).
- Flexibility to work at multiple locations within Taiwan.
