Customer Engagement Applications Engineer (PCB)

About the role

KLA's Customer Engagement (CE) division is a field-based group of technical experts who partner with customers to deliver a portfolio of products supporting yield improvement from R&D through high-volume production. This role provides applications support for KLA-Tencor wafer inspection products in customer fabrication facilities, with in-depth training provided in Taiwan and overseas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA-Tencor wafer inspection products in customer fabrication facilities, and give presentations on all aspects of the products.
• Handle tool evaluation, acceptance testing, customer training, recipe setup, data analysis, project execution and related pre-sales activities, and assist sales staff in assessing product applications.
• Follow up on technical information dissemination and report regional requirements to the product division.
• Escalate application issues to the division and follow up until they are fixed, working on complex problems requiring in-depth analysis.
• Work with customers and the division to maximise the benefit of wafer inspectors.
• Generate best-practice knowledge material (BKM) and publish technical papers.
• Travel to customer sites and work in a cleanroom environment.

Required profile

• Master's degree with 0 years of related work experience, or Bachelor's degree with 1 year of related experience.
• Semiconductor process knowledge is a plus.
• Good English and communication skills.
• Good presentation and report writing skills.
• Project management, leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
