Customer Engagement Applications Engineer - Hsinchu

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is looking for a customer-focused, technically adept and relationship-driven Customer Engagement Applications Engineer in Hsinchu. This front-line, customer-facing role makes you the trusted technical advisor and strategic partner to customers of KLA's wafer inspection and metrology solutions, helping drive product adoption, solve complex challenges and build long-term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical interface between KLA and customers, building trust through consistent, high-quality support.
• Deliver applications support for KLA's wafer inspection and metrology tools at customer fabrication facilities.
• Lead customer engagements including product evaluations, new tool introductions and drive competitions.
• Drive customer success through acceptance tests, recipe development, hands-on training and pre-sales technical enablement.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships through onsite support and alignment of solutions to technical needs.
• Co-author technical papers with customers and present at global industry symposiums.
• Develop and share BKMs, SOPs and technical documentation for global Field Applications teams.
• Bridge customer feedback with engineering, sales and marketing, and report regional insights and escalate field issues.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Physics, Optics, Engineering, Material Science or a related field; semiconductor process knowledge is a strong plus.
• Proven experience in customer-facing technical roles with a track record of building customer relationships.
• Willingness to work in semiconductor cleanroom environments.
• Fluent English, able to communicate clearly by email, video call and in person.
