Business Planning Data Analyst – Solution Selling

About the role

This position drives Renesas’ solution‑selling strategy by applying advanced analytics and AI to improve sales effectiveness and support the User Experience group’s mission of delivering superior customer experiences. Working closely with the Manager of Business Planning, the analyst designs and maintains systems that turn sales data into actionable insights for sales and marketing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement performance indicators for solution selling, aligning them with sales and marketing objectives.
• Analyse sales funnel and solution proposal data to identify trends and generate actionable insights.
• Develop measurable metrics such as average parts per board by application, region, or customer.
• Collaborate with internal IT/AI teams, external contractors, marketing and sales to build scalable analytics systems.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for sales and marketing stakeholders.
• Enhance the internal solution‑proposal engine using AI capabilities.
• Provide data‑driven recommendations to improve business cases and market strategies.
• Manage overall KPIs for the User Experience team and foster cross‑functional communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales/marketing, sales operations, business planning or a similar role.
• Proven track record of supporting business‑planning initiatives and driving organisational change.
• Ability to analyse sales CRM data; prior sales‑operations experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of AI concepts and their business applications.
• Proactive mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
