Associate Legal Compliance Attorney

About the role

TSMC is seeking a motivated Associate Legal Compliance Attorney to support its global subsidiaries. The role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and subsidiary management within a leading semiconductor company.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure subsidiary compliance with local laws, including data protection (e.g., GDPR) and securities regulations.
• Conduct legal research and provide practical compliance advice across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support the creation and implementation of compliance policies and procedures for subsidiaries.
• Assist in managing subsidiary governance, corporate documentation, and internal policy adherence.
• Address routine and ad‑hoc legal and compliance inquiries, delivering clear recommendations.
• Coordinate communication between local and overseas internal teams and external experts.
• Help develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programs for employees.

Required profile

• Law degree (J.D. or LL.B.) from a reputable university; English‑speaking country preferred.
• Qualified lawyer in Taiwan, the United States, or another English‑speaking jurisdiction.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; native English speaker preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated interest in legal compliance and corporate governance.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional problem‑solving and communication skills.
