Associate Director – Finance (Taiwan)

About the role

RGA is seeking an Associate Director to lead finance operations for its Taiwan entity. You will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, cash management, and strategic financial planning while ensuring compliance with local regulations and global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver management and statutory financial reports under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Manage submissions to Taiwanese regulators and tax authorities, handling queries and tax return preparation.
• Maintain robust internal controls, support SOX compliance, and coordinate annual audit activities.
• Monitor cash position, ensure liquidity, and oversee cash management processes.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles for Taiwan.
• Provide financial analysis and expense reviews to support business decisions.
• Stay current with Taiwan accounting, tax, and regulatory changes and implement necessary updates.
• Manage day‑to‑day activities of the local finance team and collaborate with global valuation, audit, and tax functions.

Required profile

• Significant experience in finance leadership, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and Taiwan statutory and tax regulations.
• Proven ability to maintain internal controls, manage risk, and support SOX compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with business leaders, regional teams, and external auditors.
• Demonstrated capability to lead and develop a finance team.
