Assistant Cost Manager (Data Center/Large Scale Projects)

About the role

Linesight is seeking an Assistant Cost Manager to support data centre and large‑scale construction projects. You will work alongside experienced cost managers, project managers and contractors, gaining exposure to complex, high‑value developments.

Key responsibilities

• Attend key meetings and design reviews, monitor progress and communicate cost impacts.
• Participate in site walks with the general contractor, Cost Manager and client PM to assess progress and identify potential cost implications.
• Consolidate data to prepare detailed estimates, ad‑hoc cost reports and analyses.
• Maintain project change‑management logs with a focus on accuracy.
• Collaborate with the extended Cost Management team to deliver complex client tasks.
• Monitor financial close‑out on projects, including settlement of all vendors.

Required profile

• Degree or comparable experience in project management or construction.
• Chartered status or on the path to chartered qualification (support available).
• Experience in pre‑ and post‑contract cost management on varied projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ideally in both Chinese and English.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, manage own priorities and deadlines.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with team members and clients.
