Trainee Average Adjuster

About the role

Join Sedgwick as a Trainee Average Adjuster and start a career in marine and transportation claims adjusting. You will work with experienced professionals, handling claims across the Asia‑Pacific region while developing the technical knowledge needed for professional qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in investigating and handling marine and transportation claims.
• Support the preparation of average adjustment reports and related documentation.
• Liaise with clients, insurers, brokers and surveyors under supervision.
• Maintain accurate case files in line with regulatory standards.
• Participate in training and development activities.

Required profile

• A degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in law, maritime studies or related fields.
• Proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to learn.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Required skills

• Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin advantageous).
• IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
