About the role
As a Systems Engineer at Applied Materials, you will design, integrate, and optimize complex semiconductor systems that drive the industry forward. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop advanced solutions, write system specifications, and ensure high‑quality performance.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical support for semiconductor equipment and subsystems, including troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
- Lead onsite tool retrofit, installation, upgrades, and new product introduction (NPI) activities.
- Act as the primary interface between customers, field teams, and engineering to drive issue resolution and system performance improvements.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment, field service, or technical support.
- Strong hands‑on hardware troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
Required skills
- Hardware troubleshooting
- Tool retrofit and upgrades
- New product introduction (NPI) experience
- SRP or Etch process knowledge (preferred)
