Staff Engineer, Analog Design Engineering

About the role

Analog Devices, a global semiconductor company, is looking for an experienced Staff Analog IC Design Engineer to lead the design and development of next-generation power management IC (PMIC) solutions within its Technology, Product and Operations team. The role covers architecture, block-level design and transistor-level implementation, with support for layout, testing and product engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the detailed definition and architectural development of high-performance mixed-signal ICs, driving system-level trade-offs and transistor-level design decisions.
• Own architecture definition, block-level design and transistor-level circuit implementation, including full-cycle simulation and verification.
• Develop product objective specifications, including die size, package, pinout, block diagrams and electrical specs.
• Work with system architects to define end-to-end power architectures and integrate them into complex mixed-signal SoCs.
• Support layout, lab evaluation, testing, qualification and product engineering to meet quality goals.
• Lead power block bring-up, silicon debug and optimization across process, voltage and temperature variations.
• Apply AI tools to improve design automation, optimization and modeling workflows, and continuously improve analog design and verification methods.

Required profile

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years, or Ph.D. with 5+ years, of relevant analog and power management IC design experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience developing power management ICs, including switching regulators (buck/boost/buck-boost), LDOs and charge pumps.
• Strong understanding of analog circuit fundamentals, including amplifiers, ADCs/DACs, PLLs, bandgap references and biasing circuits.
• Ability to lead circuit blocks or complete systems from architecture through silicon validation and product debug.
• Good communication skills and ability to work across geographically distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Experience integrating power management and analog IP into complex SoCs is a strong advantage; knowledge of AI-assisted design tools is a plus.
