Senior Engineer, Product Engineering (Power Modules)

About the role

Analog Devices is looking for a Senior Engineer, Product Engineering (Prod Dev) to own the technical readiness, manufacturability, reliability and lifecycle performance of advanced power modules (Si, SiC, GaN) from new product introduction through high-volume production and sustaining. The engineer acts as the central technical owner bridging R&D, reliability, manufacturing and customer-facing teams, covering design, test, qualification, reliability, quality, assembly and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Own product engineering execution from NPI through high-volume production, including product bring-up, characterization, silicon readiness, corner lot planning, WAT and PCN management
• Drive design for test and manufacturability, and quality improvement through PPM reduction
• Own manufacturability and assembly workmanship standards (IPC-A-610), resolve assembly excursions such as die attach, clip attach and solder integrity, and support OSAT and internal manufacturing sites
• Work with reliability engineering on qualification and reliability testing (IPC-9592 / IPC-9592B), including HTRB, HTGB, HAST, TC, PC, thermal shock, vibration, life testing and burn-in, and apply Design for Reliability (MTBF, derating, FMEA)
• Run HALT and HASS, set operational and destruct limits, and establish production screens
• Lead yield analysis, parametric trends, root-cause investigations, and cost, yield and cycle-time improvements using DOE and FA labs
• Engage customers and stakeholders, act as escalation owner for production issues and returns, and travel about 10% with possible overseas trips

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Electronics, Materials Science, Microelectronics or a related field; Master's preferred; mechanical engineering background is a plus
• 8+ years in semiconductor product, manufacturing or test engineering with ownership from NPI to high volume
• Deep knowledge of IGBT, MOSFET, SiC, GaN power products and power module design, assembly and packaging
• Strong understanding of automotive standards and AEC-Q qualifications
