Service Manager – CVD/Etch (M3) – Taichung

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions for semiconductor and display manufacturing. The Service Manager (M3) for CVD/Etch will lead the customer engineering team in Taichung, ensuring high‑quality service delivery and strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with all customers in the district, conducting regular visits.
• Manage, coach, and direct customer engineers, handling salary and career planning, performance appraisals, and corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary interface with Product Divisions for tech support, training, spares, and reliability.
• Oversee the CSD Award Program, mentor program, and escalation procedures.
• Collaborate with District Sales Engineer on account planning and financial forecasting.
• Plan and execute system installations, including pre‑facility and start‑up meetings, and manage RMA procedures.
• Track and verify customer engineer hours, ensuring accuracy and taking corrective actions when needed.

Required profile

• Strong functional knowledge to analyze complex technical issues.
• Business expertise to set objectives, recommend policy changes, and measure results.
• Leadership ability to provide direction, administer policies, and conduct performance reviews.
• Problem‑solving skills to exercise judgment within defined procedures.
