Server Quality Principal Engineer

About the role

Dell Technologies is seeking a seasoned Principal Engineer to lead server quality initiatives in Taipei. You will shape quality assurance strategies, drive continuous improvement, and ensure our enterprise servers meet the highest standards for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop technical quality assurance protocols and methods for server products.
• Lead Quality Extended Teams (QET) and facilitate cross‑functional communication across the value chain.
• Analyze quality data, monitor trends, and investigate exceptions to meet performance goals.
• Drive usability, customer, and product metric improvements in line with industry standards such as NPS, NSS, IFIR/FIR.
• Manage critical field issues, implement preventative actions, and support RFQs as needed.
• Engage with ODMs and suppliers to ensure consistent quality throughout the supply chain.

Required profile

• 8+ years of server quality experience, including hands‑on debugging in data‑center environments.
• Strong analytical ability to transform structured and unstructured data into actionable recommendations.
• Proven influence across all organizational levels and excellent communication skills.
• Project and change‑management expertise with a track record of delivering results.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification and solid understanding of risk mitigation and closed‑loop corrective actions.
