Senior Staff Optical Product Engineer

About the role

Marvell is developing advanced silicon photonics solutions for high-speed data movement and is seeking a Senior Staff Optical Product Engineer in Hsinchu City. The role leads new product introduction, process development and manufacturing operations, working closely with equipment vendors and contract manufacturers and with cross-functional teams across Taiwan, Singapore and the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Drive optical sub-assembly product engineering and NPI from design through mass production.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers on process, equipment and fixture development and qualification.
• Drive yield improvement and cost reduction, and define and enforce DFM requirements.
• Support DFMEA, reliability risk mitigation and product characterization.
• Lead failure analysis and RMA investigations.

Required profile

• BS (7+ years) or MS (5+ years) in optical component/module product development or manufacturing.
• Proven experience in high-volume yield improvement and Telcordia GR-468 qualification.
• Eligibility to access export-controlled information under U.S. export control laws; export license review may apply to non-U.S. citizens and permanent residents.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in optical active/passive alignment and assembly processes.
• Gage R&R, FMEA, SPC, Cpk and DOE.
