Senior Operations Manager

About the role

The Plant Site Head is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of MKS Atotech’s manufacturing facility in Guanyin, Taiwan. Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, Asia, the role involves managing staff, optimizing processes to meet production goals, quality standards, customer service, safety, compliance and overall efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across Production, Quality Control, Supply Chain (inventory, warehousing, logistics), maintenance, WWT, HSE and 5S.
• Drive cost efficiency for plant operations.
• Collect and analyse operational data to identify improvements and implement modifications.
• Collaborate with other sites and entities within the group to ensure efficient operations.
• Improve customer service levels by leading QA and customer‑service teams to resolve product quality issues.
• Establish best practices, standards and continuous‑improvement initiatives in operations and supply chain.
• Ensure plant equipment operates according to specifications and capacity.
• Foster a positive, high‑performance work environment and coach the team.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of manufacturing experience in chemical or process industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Production, Mechanical or related engineering; business management qualification preferred.
• Technical acumen to independently run a manufacturing operations site.
• Leadership and management skills to achieve results through cross‑functional collaboration.
• Proven ability to drive cultural change in safety, occupational health and environmental matters.
• Strong knowledge of continuous‑improvement practices, LEAN and Six Sigma.
• Working knowledge of SAP or other manufacturing‑related ERP systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and stakeholder‑engagement abilities; fluent spoken and written English.
