Maintenance Technician – Mechanical Systems (Taiwan)

About the role

Mechanical technicians play a key role in keeping production lines running smoothly and efficiently. This position focuses on installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment in an industrial setting.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and diagrams.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery.
• Calibrate and test equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians on new system designs.
• Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and the company’s EHS policy.

Required profile

• College graduate (or higher).
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in preventive maintenance, equipment repair or related fields.
• Experience with electrical engineering, installation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with twin‑screw extrusion processes or chemical‑plant equipment is a plus.
• Basic English reading ability for technical documents.
• Willingness to troubleshoot key equipment breakdowns off‑duty.

Required skills

• PLC programming.
• HMI and SCADA operation.
• Reading P&ID and PFD diagrams.
• Knowledge of twin‑screw extrusion equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
