(Senior) Manager, Inventory Planning and Management

About the role

Coupang is expanding into Taiwan and is looking for a leader to join its Instock team, which manages inventory to build and maintain a wide selection while controlling costs such as overstock. The team works closely with business/vendor managers, supply chain, product, program and finance teams to deliver a world-class e-commerce experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan inventory so that customers and vendors get the right items at the right time and place.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to meet customer in-stock and vendor needs.
• Drive business growth by keeping desired items in stock and well stocked.
• Partner with vendors regularly to optimise metrics such as lead time and fill rate.
• Use data to prioritise actions and analyse root causes of issues.
• Manage ordering processes and systems to balance competing priorities.
• Guide the development of processes and controls for forecasting, inbound and inventory management systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in demand forecasting, ordering, procurement, inventory management and supply chain.
• Bachelor's degree in a supply chain-related field.
• Proven ability to partner with vendors and strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with sales and operations stakeholders; e-commerce and/or retail experience preferred.
• Mandarin and English proficiency required.

Required skills

• Strong Excel proficiency required.
• SQL and other technical skills are a plus.
