Senior Infrastructure Engineer – IDC & Bare‑Metal Kubernetes

About the role

Binance is building a brand‑new IDC from the ground up and needs a senior engineer to own the design, deployment, and operation of the colocation data centre and its on‑prem Kubernetes platform. This greenfield position offers full architectural ownership and the chance to shape a critical part of Binance’s infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design rack layout, network topology and overall colocation configuration.
• Implement a hardened Out‑of‑Band management network (BMC, IPMI, Redfish).
• Coordinate with vendors for servers, switches, cross‑connects, remote‑hands and cage administration.
• Build zero‑touch OS provisioning pipelines using MAAS, Tinkerbell or Cluster API.
• Deploy and maintain production‑grade self‑hosted Kubernetes clusters, including Cilium CNI and ArgoCD GitOps.
• Own the full cluster lifecycle: upgrades, scaling, node maintenance and incident response.
• Write SOPs, runbooks and post‑mortems; participate in a 24×7 on‑call rotation.
• Establish hybrid‑cloud interconnects (VPN, Direct Connect, peering) and enable GPU and VM workloads via NVIDIA GPU Operator and KubeVirt.

Required profile

• 5+ years of data‑center, infrastructure or platform engineering experience.
• Hands‑on experience designing and commissioning physical infrastructure from scratch.
• Proven track record standing up production‑grade self‑hosted Kubernetes and debugging cluster‑level issues.
• Strong Linux systems administration and performance‑tuning skills.
