Senior Field Application Engineer – Automotive

About the role

The Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) – Automotive will build trusted relationships with key engineering leaders at targeted customers. You will understand their current and future needs, drive design wins, and deliver strong engineering execution and support on automotive projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop close relationships with engineering leaders, identify needs, and increase the design‑win funnel.
• Provide technical deep‑dives, hands‑on training, and issue analysis for customer engineers.
• Assess technical feasibility of customer‑specific projects and deliver realistic solutions, timelines, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate priorities and resolve technical/business issues for current and future customer requirements.
• Act as a liaison between segment marketing, systems engineering, software R&D, regional sales, FAEs, and customers.
• Collaborate with Business Line marketing and regional sales/BD to align on projects and ensure timely, quality delivery.
• Train and develop domain‑specific knowledge on MPU/MCU aspects required by customer projects.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Control, or Computer Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
• 5+ years experience with semiconductor products in roles such as product applications, systems engineer, or field applications engineer.
• Proven ability to build and lead a high‑performing, customer‑facing engineering team.
• Strong project‑management and interpersonal skills.
