Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the role

SiFive is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design and build a Visual Studio Code plugin that interfaces with the SiFive Core Designer (SCD) REST API. The role reports to the Director of SCD and works closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver a robust, user‑friendly interface for customers designing cutting‑edge silicon.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive GUI components for a VS Code extension using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Mentor team members on best practices for JavaScript and VS Code plugin development.
• Write clean, well‑documented, reusable code and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Implement automated testing and ensure high code quality for front‑end components.
• Collaborate with designers, back‑end developers, QA engineers and support teams.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest VS Code plugin trends, libraries and standards.

Required profile

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least five years of hands‑on full‑stack development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a passion for building developer tools.
