Senior Engineer, Communication

About the role

SYSTRA Taiwan is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the design, technical studies, and overall management of railway communication system projects. You will work on large‑scale rail transit initiatives, ensuring that communication infrastructure meets safety, reliability, and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical studies of railway communication systems.
• Develop and review engineering specifications, standards, and procedures for system design and construction.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements and Taiwanese railway regulations.
• Resolve technical challenges and optimise solutions within budget and schedule constraints.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in communication roles within railway or transit systems.
• Hands‑on experience with projects governed by Taiwan railway regulations and familiarity with local government agencies.
• Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and public consultation for large‑scale transportation projects.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Traditional Chinese (spoken, written, read) and professional proficiency in English.
