Senior Air Freight Manager – Taiwan

About the role

Flexport is looking for a senior leader to own and grow its air freight business in Taiwan. You will set regional strategy, drive profitable growth, and lead a high‑performing team across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the air‑freight strategy, financial targets and Annual Operating Plan for the region.
• Own the country P&L, managing revenue, COGS, net revenue and operating expenses.
• Develop and run procurement strategies, negotiate with airlines, handlers and truckers, and manage vendor performance.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to shape service capabilities and close product gaps.
• Lead, recruit and develop a high‑performing air‑freight team, setting objectives and managing performance.
• Collaborate with sales to design go‑to‑market and pricing strategies, providing market expertise and sales support.

Required profile

• 10+ years in freight forwarding, airline or logistics operations, with deep market expertise.
• Proven experience in procurement and airline relationships within the Taiwan market.
• Track record of managing P&L, driving profitable growth and leading large, diverse teams.
• Strategic thinker who can also implement day‑to‑day initiatives.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Client‑service mindset with meticulous attention to operational detail.
