Sales Representative – Strategic Market Development

About the role

Avient is seeking a results‑driven Sales Representative to lead strategic market development, deliver planned financial results and grow profitable revenue in the apparel, industrial and technical textile sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned financial results (AOP) by driving profitable revenue growth and meeting gross‑margin targets.
• Prospect and cold‑call to build a robust sales funnel focused on high‑value applications.
• Develop and manage account portfolios using scorecards, business reviews and CRM tools, creating long‑term account development plans.
• Provide technical consultation on fiber grades and coordinate spinning trials with technical and customer‑service teams.
• Prepare sales and expense budgets, produce accurate forecasts, and manage the full commercial cycle including pricing, AR collection and bad‑debt avoidance.
• Represent the company at international trade shows and ensure compliance with sustainability standards (GRS) and chemical regulations (REACH, RoHS).

Required profile

• Background in plastics with experience in fiber applications.
• Strong knowledge of chemical industry regulations (REACH, RoHS) and textile certifications such as GRS.
• High proficiency in CRM management and data‑driven sales analytics.
• Ability to assess customer needs, competitive pressures and propose optimized pricing and product solutions.
• Effective communication and networking across complex organizational structures.
