Procurement Specialist – Strategic Sourcing

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will lead strategic sourcing initiatives for packaging and indirect materials, driving cost savings and risk mitigation across the organization. This role collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure on‑time delivery, optimal economic value, and robust supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize strategic sourcing processes to identify, negotiate, and implement procurement initiatives that generate cost savings.
• Partner with sourcing teams to provide local business requirements and market insights for regional strategy development.
• Collaborate with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and other functional groups on contract negotiation, cost management, and supplier risk mitigation.
• Develop and execute forward‑thinking procurement strategies to optimize spend and minimize risk.
• Create and manage a preferred supplier program, ensuring disciplined onboarding of new vendors.
• Establish KPIs for strategic sourcing and drive continuous improvement through cyclical delivery.
• Work primarily from Taipei or Taichung offices, with on‑site presence at the Nantou facility 1–2 days per month as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement of packaging or indirect materials.
• Strong ability to collaborate with diverse functional teams and influence cross‑functional decisions.
• Excellent negotiation skills and a focus on cost reduction and risk management.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Taipei, Taichung, and occasional visits to the Nantou site.
