Principal Analog Engineer – Power Management

About the role

NXP’s Power & Energy Business Line is looking for a Principal Analog Engineer to lead the design of hybrid converters and power delivery solutions for automotive and robotics applications. You will join the Power Delivery group within the Advanced Power Systems product line, working on Tier‑1 products for leading mobile companies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical execution from system definition, block architecture, circuit design, simulation, and layout for mixed‑signal ICs.
• Deliver high‑quality, high‑performance analog and mixed‑signal designs, ensuring verification and validation meet specifications.
• Collaborate globally with customers, design partners, test, packaging, program management, and business teams.
• Produce technical publications, conference papers, and provide product support via email and phone.

Required profile

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. preferred) with at least 8 years of analog and mixed‑signal transistor‑level design experience.
• Strong expertise in analog circuit theory, device physics, and ability to create novel circuit techniques.
• Proven track record of filing patents, publishing papers, and staying current with technical developments.

Required skills

• Design of MOS and BJT circuits: bandgap references, amplifiers, oscillators, detection circuits, linear LDOs, switching regulators.
• Experience with DC‑DC chargers, switch‑capacitor converters, load switches, and hybrid converters.
• Proficiency with mixed‑signal design tools, flow, and Verilog‑AMS modeling.
