Logistics Specialist

About the role

Join Getinge’s global logistics team as a Logistics Specialist, supporting the end‑to‑end flow of goods and information. You will be responsible for order processing, shipment coordination, and inventory control while ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Create and monitor purchase orders, manage delivery schedules, and process goods receipt and issue in SAP.
• Receive, validate, and process sales orders, confirm and reschedule deliveries, and track shipments to guarantee on‑time arrival.
• Serve as the escalation point for shipment issues, providing clarification and support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with logistics vendors and warehouse teams for picking, packing, and shipment booking, ensuring timely dispatch.
• Manage spot‑quote RFQs for exceptional shipments, drive cost‑saving and sustainability initiatives, and implement process improvements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock‑takes, and generate periodic reports for management.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and product owners to ensure shipped products meet regulatory labeling and compliance requirements.
• Handle return shipments and contribute to the documentation of work instructions and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate recurring operational issues and propose corrective actions.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams, external vendors, and customers.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of maintaining accurate master data and inventory records.
• Proactive attitude toward cost optimisation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
