About the role
Micron Technology is seeking an IT System Engineer to design, implement and operate Windows Server and virtualization platforms across its global data‑center environment. The role focuses on automation, hybrid‑cloud integration and maintaining high‑availability services.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day technology direction and operations for VMware/Nutanix HCI, Dell, Lenovo, Splunk and Cisco hardware.
- Handle IT incidents and service requests within defined SLAs, including 24/7 on‑call support.
- Monitor system performance metrics, perform proactive maintenance and expand sites worldwide.
- Design and propose architectural improvements for scalability, high availability and disaster recovery.
- Document changes, create reference architectures and support global rollout of new technologies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering or related field.
- English proficiency TOEIC score > 650.
- Experience with data‑analysis tools such as Splunk and familiarity with Dell/Lenovo/Cisco hardware.
Required skills
- Microsoft Windows Server administration.
- Virtualization platforms: VMware, Nutanix HCI.
- Scripting: PowerShell, Linux shell.
- Network concepts: TCP/IP, K8S/Docker/OpenShift.
- Monitoring and log analysis with Splunk.
