iOS Developer – Build Native App from Scratch

About the role

Polymer Capital Management is seeking a passionate iOS Developer to create a brand‑new native iOS application that mirrors its mature web platform. You will lead the architecture and implementation, delivering a high‑performance, fluid experience for users across multiple Asian and global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the iOS app from the ground up, translating existing web features into native Swift components.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement custom controls, transitions, and micro‑interactions that follow Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
• Integrate near‑real‑time data update mechanisms (polling, SSE, streams) and implement efficient caching, throttling, and debouncing to minimise CPU and power usage.
• Manage global App Store releases, handling localisation, privacy compliance, and region‑specific requirements for markets such as Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, India, and the United States.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Fastlane and GitHub Actions for automated builds, testing, and deployments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• Proven track record of architecting and shipping at least one major iOS application from scratch.
• Strong understanding of Swift language features, memory management, and concurrent programming (GCD, Swift Concurrency).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, real‑time data streams, and advanced caching strategies.
• Hands‑on experience navigating cross‑border App Store compliance and localisation challenges.
