International Assignment Tax Associate

About the role

TSMC is looking for a proactive International Assignment Tax Associate to ensure seamless global income tax compliance for expatriates. You will coordinate tax filings, manage year‑end equalization calculations, and serve as a trusted advisor to international assignees.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with stakeholders and external vendors to process annual income tax filings and year‑end tax equalization or gross‑up calculations.
• Provide tax filing authorizations, review year‑end tax reconciliation, and verify data accuracy.
• Communicate with assignees, responding to inquiries on income tax, tax equalization, and other expatriate tax matters.
• Prepare data‑analysis reports and handle ad‑hoc tax‑related duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in expatriate tax, HR, or compensation & benefits, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Detail‑oriented with strong numeric abilities and the capacity to work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills, able to share information clearly and promptly with diverse stakeholders.
• Flexible, positive, patient, and capable of handling sensitive situations and strict deadlines.
• Proven project‑management experience and a continuous‑improvement mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel analysis.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Fluency in Chinese and English; Japanese or German is a plus.
