Head of Public Policy, Taiwan

About the role

Meta is looking for a Head of Public Policy to shape and lead its policy agenda in Taiwan. The role will define strategy, advise senior leadership, and build strong relationships with government, industry, and civil‑society stakeholders to support Meta’s global and regional objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute public policy strategies for Taiwan, ensuring alignment with Meta’s global and APAC goals.
• Advise APAC policy leadership and Meta management on emerging legislative and regulatory developments.
• Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and civil‑society groups.
• Lead advocacy on AI, data privacy, digital economy, content regulation, and online safety.
• Analyze legislative proposals, assess business impact, and provide strategic guidance to internal teams.
• Monitor regulatory trends and anticipate stakeholder reactions.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, law, government, or technology.
• Proven success engaging with the Taiwanese government and a robust network of key stakeholders.
• Track record of policy negotiation and influence in results‑oriented environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Experience developing and implementing policy strategies at scale.
• Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines and make sound judgments.
