Global Trade Compliance Analyst

About the role

KLA, which makes inspection tools and metrology systems for the electronics industry, is hiring a Global Trade Compliance Analyst in Hsinchu. The role sits within the Legal Compliance Organization (LCO), which gives legal guidance to protect the company's legal, ethical and financial integrity. You will help advance business priorities by delivering high-impact work on import and export compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with import and export regulations, including those of Taiwan, the U.S. and other relevant jurisdictions.
• Lead and support HS code classification and ECCN reviews, and ensure compliance with Taiwan import and export requirements.
• Review and release export orders, including urgent or ad hoc shipments, and coordinate export and import license, permit and certification applications with government authorities.
• Support the establishment, maintenance and continuous improvement of Taiwan's Internal Compliance Program (ICP), including documentation, internal controls, training support and compliance monitoring.
• Partner with logistics, procurement, engineering and legal teams so import and export operations meet compliance standards.
• Support the KLA Global Trade Compliance team on regional and corporate-level initiatives.

Required profile

• BS degree preferred, with 3-5 years of trade compliance experience and a good understanding of international business requirements.
• Good knowledge of Taiwan import/export regulations, especially HS tariff classification and customs declaration for mechanical and electrical products.
• Customs valuation and country-of-origin knowledge is a plus.
• High-tech or semiconductor industry experience preferred; technical or engineering background also helpful.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines, with effective communication in a global, cross-functional setting.

Required skills

• Experience with automated trade compliance systems such as SAP GTS.
• ICP program experience is helpful.
