Global Supply Manager

About the role

As a Global Supply Manager within AWS Infrastructure Services, you will lead supply management for interconnect and EE components that power Amazon’s data centers worldwide. You will work with a cross‑functional team of engineers, supply‑chain specialists, and operations leaders to ensure hardware availability while optimizing cost and risk.

Key responsibilities

• Own Commit‑to‑Build (CTB) tracking for critical components and drive shortage resolution by identifying root causes, developing mitigation plans, and coordinating with multi‑tier suppliers.
• Design and manage supply buffer strategies (safety stock, VMI, strategic inventory) based on lead‑time variability, demand volatility, and supply risk.
• Identify spot‑market opportunities, maintain a vetted broker network, and enforce quality and traceability standards while monitoring cost premiums.
• Analyze end‑to‑end lead‑time drivers and implement process improvements to reduce effective lead times.
• Travel up to 50% of the time to supplier sites to support on‑site execution and relationship building.
