Field Services Engineer – Global Projects (Tainan)

About the role

The Global Field Service Engineer will support a Japanese semiconductor equipment manufacturer by travelling to customer sites worldwide, performing tool roll‑in, positioning and installation activities, and ensuring successful qualification of the equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites in Europe, Japan, the US, Korea and Taiwan for training, deployment and equipment installation.
• Execute the three installation milestones – Tool Arrival/Pre‑Installation, Installation & Hook‑up, and Qualification & Acceptance.
• Perform cabling and utility connections (electrical, gas, water, CDA, exhaust) and assist with tool positioning, leveling and alignment.
• Support senior engineers during tool hook‑up, initial power‑on, functional checks and maintain accurate installation logs and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, field service or EMS industry.
• Good English communication skills (TOEIC >550) and bilingual Mandarin.
• Willingness to work in clean‑room/fab environments, travel extensively and follow strict EHS and safety protocols.

Required skills

• Understanding of electrical schematics and power transmission.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of electromechanical systems, wiring, mechanical assembly and alignment.
• Experience using hand tools, torque tools and basic measurement instruments.
