Field Applications Engineer (Graduate)

About the role

Analog Devices is hiring a Field Applications Engineer (graduate level) to provide technical expertise that supports sales efforts through presentations, product demonstrations and custom solutions. The engineer acts as a technical consultant between sales strategy and customer needs, supporting pre-sales activities such as customer needs assessment, solution development and product validation. The role requires strong technical skills combined with customer-facing abilities to drive design-ins and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Modify evaluation boards to meet customer design requirements.
• Evaluate and characterize analog and mixed-signal circuits to validate performance.
• Provide technical support to customers and field application engineers.
• Design and debug customer application circuits and demonstration boards, including layout supervision.
• Support existing products throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop technical articles, reference designs and application notes.
• Build and maintain strategic customer relationships.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on power electronics.
• Hands-on experience in multiphase power or computing power development for servers, laptops or desktops.
• Preferred: experience supporting data center ODM customers and markets.
• Required travel of about 25% of the time.

Required skills

• Solid background in analog and power-electronics circuit analysis and design.
• Understanding of power-conversion topologies, including switch-mode and multiphase power, and of modeling and control techniques.
• Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools such as SPICE, Mathcad or MATLAB.
• Knowledge of magnetic components, filter design, EMI mitigation, component parasitics and thermal design.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
