Engineering Technician – Display Fabrication

About the role

Applied Materials is looking for an Engineering Technician to support the Tainan Display Manufacturing Center. The role involves assembling and testing display equipment in a clean‑room environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform equipment assembly based on circuit and mechanical assembly drawings.
• Receive and inspect parts to ensure no defects and that all necessary components are available.
• Verify component quality through vacuum leak tests, pressure‑holding tests, and pre‑power‑on equipment checks.
• Execute production‑related tasks and complete execution records as required by documentation.
• Complete training, departmental tasks, and assignments from supervisors.
• Work rotating shifts (day shift 07:00–15:30 or night shift 15:30–24:00).

Required profile

• Associate degree or higher, or equivalent education.
• Experience in mechanical assembly and equipment assembly; ability to read circuit diagrams is a plus.
• Holding a B‑level electrical & electronic industry wiring certification is advantageous.
• Strong teamwork and communication coordination abilities.
• Willingness to perform clean‑room work, high‑altitude tasks, overtime, shift work, and occasional travel.
• English proficiency; candidates without a TOEIC score will be tested before interview.
