Director, Services Business Development - AI

About the role

The Director will lead Mastercard Advisors in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, driving growth across Retail & Commerce and Fintech sectors with a focus on AI, agentic solutions, digital assets and innovation. This senior position contributes to sales targets, opportunity generation and closing with regional and global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business relationships, converting qualified opportunities into revenue.
• Lead end‑to‑end sales efforts from research and storyboarding to client presentations and contract signing.
• Ensure product development meets client needs in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.
• Develop analysis, insights, strategies, propositions and operating models for clients.
• Apply quantitative and qualitative techniques to identify client issues and synthesize recommendations.
• Manage small to medium engagements, including project staffing and delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with mid‑to‑senior client management and act as an advisor.
• Support Mastercard Advisors and local market teams in client relationship management and business development.
• Occasional travel within the Greater China area.

Required profile

• Proven sales/business development experience in top‑rated firms.
• Ability to craft compelling sales narratives and close deals.
• Highly self‑motivated with a hunting attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in Mandarin and English.
• Strong analytical, interpretive and problem‑solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• Excellent client and engagement management skills.
