Director, Government Affairs

About the role

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced Director to lead its government affairs activities in Taiwan. Reporting to the Head of Global Policy, you will shape and execute the company’s public policy strategy across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Track, analyze and interpret policy developments, AI‑related regulations and semiconductor legislation in Taiwan and neighboring markets.
• Provide concise briefings and strategic recommendations to senior NVIDIA executives.
• Develop and maintain engagement strategies with senior policymakers, ministries, think‑tanks, trade associations and research institutions.
• Collaborate closely with legal, sales, marketing, engineering and public‑relations teams to align policy initiatives with business objectives.
• Monitor outputs from industry groups and flag relevant issues for the policy team.
• Partner with ecosystem stakeholders on shared regulatory priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in political science, international relations, public policy or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in Taiwanese government affairs, public policy, corporate affairs or consulting, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of Taiwan’s regulatory processes, key sectors and the broader geopolitical landscape.
• Proven network of relationships across Taiwanese government ministries and political institutions.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Mandarin, with strong diplomatic judgment.

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of Taiwanese regulatory frameworks and policy‑making cycles.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience with AI, semiconductor manufacturing, digital‑economy or technology‑policy issues.
