Director Clinical Operations

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Operations to build and lead its APAC Clinical Operations team. This senior position will define regional strategy, establish operational infrastructure, and drive long‑term growth across Phase I‑IV trials.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all Clinical Operations activities in the APAC region.
• Manage and mentor Site Directors to ensure timely start‑up, monitoring, and execution of studies in line with protocols, ICH‑GCP, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with investigators, clinical sites, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Create regional resource plans, forecast staffing needs and allocate Site Director resources.
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach and mentor Site Directors, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Ensure completion of GCP, regulatory and internal training for all team members.
• Establish performance metrics, conduct evaluations and provide ongoing coaching to achieve operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (nursing degree or RN is a plus).
• Minimum 8 years of clinical trial monitoring experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and relevant local languages.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex clinical programs.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of ICH‑GCP guidelines.
• Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to develop and implement regional operational strategies.
