Defect Engineering Senior Engineer / Principal Engineer (HBM)

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring a Central Team Process Integration Engineering Real-Time Defect Analysis Defect Engineering Engineer (Senior Engineer / Principal Engineer) in Taichung, Fab 16. The role drives HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) defectivity improvement and global manufacturing performance, working with customers to benchmark metrics such as yield, quality, equipment utilization and throughput.

Key responsibilities

• Drive global peer groups to align on strategy and roadmap, tracking Big Rock metrics and holding sites accountable when they deviate
• Prioritize resources internally and with suppliers to close gaps, using Copy Smart Teams (CST) and Key Equipment Groups (KEG)
• Manage Central Team programs and processes, including TOR and VCN documentation and ZBA templates
• Lead and coordinate projects through their lifecycle, define success metrics and maintain a project portfolio aligned with corporate roadmaps
• Track fab performance metrics, share Best Known Methods (BKM) across sites and coach CSTs
• Support supplier quality engineering and act as a link between Micron end-users and equipment and material manufacturers
• Provide tactical support for people, safety, yield, quality, cost and cycle time, and keep stakeholders informed of project status
• Stay current with fab manufacturing processes, attend training and help develop advanced training methods

Required profile

• Willingness and ability to collaborate with manufacturing sites, R&D, procurement, quality engineering and external suppliers
• Ability to travel internationally as needed
• Effective presentation skills and cultural sensitivity
