Cybersecurity Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our GCIO organisation in Taiwan. You will provide expert guidance to protect the bank’s information assets, ensure compliance with HSBC security standards and local regulations, and help strengthen our overall cyber resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate cybersecurity operations, incident response, and threat management across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with HSBC Cybersecurity policies, local regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.
• Provide security expertise for technology initiatives, projects, and emerging risks.
• Support governance of network, infrastructure, applications, and data protection controls.
• Engage with business units, regional/global cybersecurity teams, regulators, and senior management.
• Assist with security monitoring, risk assessment, vulnerability management, and remediation activities.
• Support cryptographic key management, PKI, digital certificates, and related security controls.
• Contribute to process improvement, knowledge sharing, and best‑practice adoption.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field.
• 9+ years of cybersecurity experience, including management and operational roles.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, security operations and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in financial institutions and familiarity with Taiwan regulatory requirements is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, ISO 27001, SSCP or CND are a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in English and Traditional Chinese.
