Engineering Manager (Hybrid, Taiwan)

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high‑performing team that builds and scales financial products used by millions across Southeast Asia. The role blends people leadership with deep technical involvement, ensuring rapid delivery while maintaining reliability and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineers across frontend, backend and full‑stack development, setting high engineering standards.
• Own delivery for major product areas, balancing speed, scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, design, mobile, backend and AI teams to translate ambiguous problems into clear technical execution.
• Define architecture and make decisions on APIs, databases, integrations, infrastructure and customer‑facing systems.
• Drive engineering processes, tooling and automation to improve velocity and scale.
• Monitor production outcomes, resolve incidents and ensure long‑term reliability.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with experience shipping production systems.
• Proven experience leading or managing engineers and owning delivery.
• Deep technical depth across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to make sound architecture trade‑offs while keeping focus on customer and business outcomes.
• Excellent people leadership, coaching and performance‑management skills.
