Cost Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Cost Accountant to join our semiconductor manufacturing site in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The role supports accurate cost tracking, inventory control and compliance with internal and regulatory standards. You will work closely with production, procurement and finance teams to ensure cost data is reliable and timely.

Key responsibilities

• Audit inward goods and internal inventory requisitions for direct and indirect materials, ensuring proper documentation and system recording.
• Perform periodic book closing, variance analysis and reporting for direct material, subcontractor, inventory scrap, shortage and overage.
• Review inventory scrap proposals and adjust forms to maintain strong internal controls over exceptional items.
• Conduct periodic inventory reconciliation for wafer and die quantities and costs.
• Collect and analyze data for annual budget and forecast reports.
• Support the annual physical inventory count process.
• Assist in new package cost estimation.
• Act as sub‑process owner for SOX compliance activities.

Required profile

• Experience auditing material movements and managing inventory records.
• Familiarity with periodic closing, variance analysis and budget/forecast preparation.
• Understanding of internal control procedures and SOX compliance.
